This is the first Association of BTech and MTech Biotech qualified persons in India, "Biotech Engineers Association of India (BEAI).
BTech Biotechnology Course is shutting down in many colleges of Andhra Pradesh and in other states of India.We know that Biotech is a promising course with a bright future. But the academia has closed this course, because of lack of awareness among the students. Industry is not hiring the graduates of BTech Biotech though they are getting funds from DBT,MST and MHRD in the form of Biotech subsidies,low tax and other facilities.There are plenty of reasons why Biotech course has not came in to effect.The Biotech graduates has got frustration after choosing the course as they are not employed anywhere.why? what are the reasons?.
BTech Biotechnology is the only multidisciplinary branch of Engineering. It has applications in
other fields of Engineering like Electronics, Computer Science , Mechanical Engineering ,
Chemical Engineering, Metallurgy, Environmental Engineering and so on. It is a robustic and an
excellent field of Engineering with creativity, innovation and design. Engineering biotechnologists
are eligible in almost all companies of various fields of Engineering Industry. As Biotechnology
subject is itself a multidisciplinary course having wide prospects in many areas like Medical,
Pharma, Agriculture , Horticulture, Diagnostics, Biological Computation, Information Technology,
Nanotechnology, Industrial Biotechnology, Chemicals, Molecular Electronics. Btech Biotech
graduates will study Microbiology, Biochemistry, Genetic Engineering, Molecular Biology,
Immunology, Genetics, Cell Biology, Chemical Engineering subjects like Mass Transfer, Heat
transfer, Bioprocess Engineering, Thermodynamics, Process Control, Instrumentation, Process
Engineering and most advanced subjects like Animal Cell Science, Bioinformatics
,Nanobiotechnology, Herbal biotechnology, Food Science &Technology, Drug Design,
Biopharmaceuticals ,Molecular Pathogenesis, bioelectronics, Biosensors and nearly 42 different
subjects with 12 laboratories in the entire Course curriculum of 4 years.
I, Zahoorullah S MD BTech Biotech (200-2006 first batch in Andhra Pradesh) MTech Biotech and PhD Biotech and Aysha Sherieff,., BTech Biotech(200-2006 first batch in Andhra Pradesh) MTech (EMT) have initiated this association, calling all the BTech Biotech and MTech Biotech qualified people to join and work for the betterment of BTech Biotechnology and its future.
Mission
1. To strengthen BTech Biotech Course in India
2. To open new avenues for Biotech graduates
3. To make publicity of the importance of Biotechnology
4. To educate parents and students about Biotechnology
5. To interact with bio-pharma industry about the openings of Biotechnology to recruit and include the BTech Biotech graduates under eligibility in R&D,Q/C and Production units.
6. To encourage affiliated engineering Colleges and all Universities to start BTech Biotechnology Course.
7. To recruit faculty in all Universities and colleges with BTech Biotech background candidates.
8. To put a proposal to Department of Biotechnology,Ministry of Science & Technology to take measures about the employment in Biotechnology.
9. To enhance Biotech education in all institutes of India.
10. To encourage research and provide stipends to all BTech Biotech graduates.
